AISIN and BMW Group partner up on e-axle production

AISIN CORPORATION and BMW Group have agreed on a strategic partnership for build-to-print e-axle production.

AISIN reports it has a long-standing history as a BMW supplier, providing products such as automatic transmissions, variable valve timings, etc.

AISIN says that its e-axles will be produced in both China and Europe, planned for installation in BMW Group vehicles in the late 2020s. In preparation, AISIN shall expand its product supply capabilities for electrified and other products by extending one of its plants at AISIN Europe Manufacturing Czech – Czech Republic.
