Lamborghini recently unveiled its electric concept vehicle, Lanzador, at Monterey Car Week.
This electric vehicle is set to be released in 2028 and is part of Lamborghini’s Direzione Cor Tauri roadmap to electrification announced in 2021 ( https://www.lamborghini.com/en-en/news/lamborghini-announces-its-roadmap-for-electrification-direzione-cor-tauri ).
The Lanzador is a Gran Turismo 2+2 concept car, featuring a design that is both ‘rebellious and futuristic’, while still maintaining Lamborghini’s distinctive DNA. The car is equipped with two electric motors, one for each axle, providing all-wheel drive and efficiency in all driving conditions. The system delivers a peak power exceeding one megawatt.
The Lanzador also features a new version of the driving dynamics control system, Lamborghini Dinamica Veicolo Integrata (LDVI). This system allows drivers to adjust the control systems independently while on the road, actively modifying the car’s behavior and creating their own individual profile to best express their driving needs.
Active Aerodynamics is another key feature of the Lanzador, employed in the front and rear to maximize aerodynamic efficiency in different driving modes. This technology enables the car to regulate airflow precisely, increasing the range in Urban mode and increasing downforce in Performance mode.
The Lanzador also features a steerable rear axle and air suspension, allowing it to adapt flawlessly to any surface and to driver-defined settings. The interior of the car offers a new level of spaciousness and comfort, incorporating Lamborghini’s “Feel like a pilot” approach. The sustainable materials used for the interior, such as merino wool and regenerated carbon fiber, demonstrate the company’s commitment to reducing its environmental impact.
