Alkegen, a specialty materials company, has announced that its new range of anti-thermal propagation products has been selected by JLR for its next-generation electric vehicles.
Alkegen mentioned that the new product line will play a crucial role in supporting JLR’s design process and assisting in material selection for anti-thermal propagation management within the battery pack. Production for the new product line is set to ramp up immediately.
Alkegen’s FyreWrap® LiB (Lithium-ion Battery) thermal barriers are a family of high-temperature, lightweight, thermal, and electrically insulating materials designed to prevent thermal runaway propagation in lithium-ion battery applications.
