After an extensive 18-month evaluation, Hyundai Motor Compnay has named Ansys Mechanical™ and Ansys LS-DYNA™ as its preferred structural analysis solution.
Transitioning from one simulation tool to another requires significant time and strict evaluation standards for automotive companies with established product development processes. Hyundai conducted benchmark tests on multiple simulation solutions over 18 months, focusing on model analysis accuracy, high-performance computing throughput, and future product strategy.
Ansys Mechanical, a finite element analysis tool, and LS-DYNA, an explicit simulation tool for crash safety analysis, demonstrated superior analysis accuracy, improved data processing performance, and a robust future technology development strategy. These high-performance capabilities will be used in the analysis of body system durability, stiffness, and strength.
